PRESIDENT'S WELCOME

Coming to Chapel Hill, I was fortunate to have planted my roots in AED. This family has played a formative role in both my pre-health and personal journeys. My abilities and aspirations, as a leader, have been shaped by the unparalleled diversity and potential of AED members. 

 

We know that a patient's recovery relies on an entire team, not just one person. AED is the community that represents this team. Although our backgrounds, healthcare focuses, and personal experiences differ, our mission remains the same: upholding patient health. 

 

There are many communities at Chapel Hill, but I found something dear to me here in AED. For me, our culture is truly special because of an "inheritance of mentorship." We have all received invaluable advice, support, and guidance; now, we have a duty to pay it forward. 

 

Our members strive to become advocates, leaders, and innovators in the healthcare field. Our three pillars — Academics, Service, and Social — allow us to achieve this. We hope to foster growth as life-long learners, future healthcare professionals, and close peers.
